our church family, please contact Rev. Long at
revkaren84@gmail.com or the Church Office at
keyserpc@frontier.com. Comments, feedback, and suggestions are
welcome as well. Your help is very much appreciated!

or grocery store, etc., please call the Church Office at

SHENANDOAH PRESBYTERY: A
Heritage of Service. The History Committee
of Shenandoah Presbytery is nearing the publication of the History
of Shenandoah Presbytery. Expected to be available in late 2011, the
Committee is offering the book at the pre-publication price of $32
plus $5 shipping for each copy ordered. This first history of
Shenandoah Presbytery offers 450 pages of church profiles, an
oversize fold-out map with church locations, photographs of all 110
churches, early histories of the Winchester and Lexington
Presbyteries and lots of photographs! Order forms are available at
http://www.shenpres.org/HistoryBook.html or you may call the church
office.
PRESBYTERIAN DISASTER RELIEF.
There are over 100 work teams that are ready to go to help with
flooding and tornado damage. The need for money is overwhelming as
this is the worst year of disasters since records have been kept.
Kits are needed always. Thank you Circle 1 for stepping up to
prepare them. Over 1200 have been sent so far. Remember, when you
have nothing and are in a shelter, a personal kit is most welcome.
They will be taken to Church World Service shortly. They have the
transportation available to help. Meanwhile, thank you for the
donations to the shower trailer outreach. We need to help all we
can. All of us can remember our flood of '85.
WOMEN’S CIRCLES If you are not on a Circle
and would like to be on a Circle, please see Sue
Kyle. We have a morning Circle, an Afternoon Circle, and an Evening
Circle. We have wonderful fellowship, projects, Bible study and good
refreshments. Come join us. This is an excellent way to get to know
our Sisters in Christ.

more about the Presbyterian Church? Wonder why we do the things
we do the way we do? Pastor Karen is offering a class, “Come and
See: Life in the Presbyterian Church,” which will be held

SPECIAL OFFERING. On Monday, Ty Robinette, daughter of our
custodian Odetta, and her fiancé lost everything they owned in a
fire in their apartment in Morgantown. They were uninsured. The
Session at the regular monthly meeting Tuesday evening voted to

recover from this devastating loss. The offering will be
received at the Annual Meeting of the Congregation immediately
following worship today in the Fellowship Hall. There will also
be an offering plate set out in the narthex next Sunday for
those who wish to give but do not have the opportunity this
Sunday. Thanks for your compassionate generosity.
BLANKETS. Thank you for the donations to Blanket Sunday.
Total received last Sunday was $131. These donations will be
sent to buy blankets to prepare for the spring flooding.
